Our mission is to conserve, protect, and restore Canada’s freshwater ecosystems and their coldwater resources for current and future generations. We are the voice for Canada’s rivers, streams, and lakes. From stream restoration to environmental education, all of the work Trout Unlimited Canada does is directed toward protecting and conserving Canada’s water. Our projects are guided by science and research and fueled by the unending passion of our volunteers and professional staff.
Niagara Chapter TROUT UNLIMITED CANADA
The Niagara Chapter of Trout Unlimited Canada seeks to conserve, protect, and restore the headwaters of Twelve Mile Creek, Niagara’s last remaining significant cold water stream.
Working with landowners, municipalities, community groups, and other partners, the Niagara Chapter of TUC has undertaken major stream preservation and restoration projects throughout the watershed over the past eight years. The Healthy Twelve Mile Creek initiative continues and expands our outreach to landowners with the aim of assisting them to help prevent flooding and erosion while enhancing and preserving the creek.
